Tonight we went to Womb with a View to get a peek at our babies in 3d! It was totally awesome! Our little girl wanted her picture taken more. She is too cute. Her little hand was up by her head the whole time. I guess that is the little hand I feel poking me all the time! Our little boy was hiding behind his sister almost the entire time! Luckily he pushed her out of the way for a couple of shots of his own. He looked so cute too! I am amazed at how good they looked for only being 23 weeks along. I guess I just thought they would look more like little aliens....but nope...just cute little babies! I love that we got a picture of both their little heads in one shot. So glad we got to see them and that they are doing so well!

Today Dr. Altman confirmed that one of our babies is a boy! It was so exciting. The other baby had its little legs crossed the whole time! Omar and I just couldn't wait 2 more weeks to find out the sex of the other baby so I called Womb with a View. Luckily they fit me in today. Omar couldn't get off work but Isabella was with me. When the technician said " oh its a girl " I just couldn't believe it!! I was shocked! Isabella's face was so cute! She looked shocked too but very happy! We are all so happy. It just cant get any better than this!

We got pretty good pictures of our baby boy but our little baby girl was trying to hide the whole time! Probably doesn't help that her brother kept squishing her.

I cant wait to go back in May for another peek at them! Let the shopping begin!

Ultrasound Pics!

I took Isabella with me to my doctor appt. this morning. She was very excited to see the babies moving all around on the ultrasound. I couldn't take Quino because he has been sick but when I got home he couldn't wait to see the pics. He is so sweet when he sees their pictures. I love seeing his reaction! The babies are getting so big! Its amazing how much they grow in just 2 weeks. We got a great pic of both the babies heads in one shot. That's my favorite. Both the babies are doing great! Hopefully we will be able to find out what sex they are in a couple weeks. I cant wait to go shopping!

Quick check

I went to the doctor today and got another quick peek at my babies. They are doing great! They are very active babies. They just wouldn't stop moving. Too cute! I just love Dr. Altman. He is such a wonderful doctor. He is letting me come in every 2 weeks for an ultrasound just so I know they are doing good. How nice, huh! I cant wait to see them next time. They are getting so big already!

We're having TWINS!

We are very excited to announce that we are having twins! The babies are due on September 8, 2010 but should arrive around August 18th.

Everything is looking good so far. I will be updating this blog after my appointments with the babies stats and ultrasound pictures. Feel free to check in from time to time to see the updates.

As of yesterday (10 week checkup):

Baby A is measuring 10 weeks 1 day
Baby A has a heartbeat of 183

Baby B is measuring 10 weeks 1 day
Baby B has a heartbeat of 163

I had a quick ultrasound and the babies were moving around a lot. Baby A was sucking his thumb. How cute is that?!

Babies

In December my mom told us were going to have a baby! Then a couple days later she said we were going to have twins!!! Quino and I are so excited!! We don`t know if the babies are girls or boys yet. We already have stockings for them for next Christmas!! They are so so so cute!

I want one to be a girl and Quino wants one to be a boy. I cant wait to be a big big big sister! If one is a girl it is going to sleep in my room and if one is a boy it is going to sleep in his room!! I just hope we get a girl and a boy! i always wanted a baby brother or sister and a someone to sleep with!!! Girl Scout Cookies!!

Last Friday I started selling Girl scout cookies. I asked my teacher Miss Barlow if she wanted to order some Girl scout cookies! She said "yes"!! Then I asked my science teahcer Mrs.Weelock and she said yes too!! Then my friend Brooke said if she can buy a couple of cookies and I said yes . She asked her mom if she could and she said yes!! When we started selling(ordering)cookies on Friday my dad took this huge order form to his work and it`s already half way done!! But at school I am still trying to ask people but it`s alot of work I tell you alot of work!!!!!! So if you want to order some girl scout cookies you can!!!!!! The cookies cost four dollars each!!!! If you don`t know what cookie you want just get all of them!!!! Just kidding!! My favorite cookie is mostly all of them!!! But not the carmel dilites though. I don`t like coconut. Bye!!! You can order some cookies today!!!! It`s Cookie Time!

My birthday party!

Last month was my birthday! I had my birthday party with my friends!! I turned 8. I had a slumber party with my friends!!! We got to decorate big cupcakes and frost them!! I didn`t get that many sprinkles because everyone took all the sprinkles!! We all watched iCarly. We played the wii and I opened my presents!!

I went out to Red Robin with my family, my aunt, uncle, my cousins and my friend Hollie and her family!! At Red Robin I saw my friend Bladen. After that we had an icecream cake!!! I`m not sure what kind it was.

Long Lost Gurrola Family!

I am so excited! This past weekend we went to Los Angeles to meet Omar's half brothers and sister for the first time! It was awesome! They located him on Facebook a couple months ago. Omar always new he had brothers and sisters on his dads side but never knew how many or who they were. Crazy huh! So we got to meet his brother Dan, his wife Janine and their daughter Taylor. His Brother Jesse and his sister Angie, her husband Arnold and one of their sons Matthew. They are all totally awesome! We finally know who Omar looks like now!! They act so much alike too. It's totally trippy considering they had never met. We had such a great time with them. Feels like we have known them all along. We cant wait to meet Omar's brother Pete too. Really looking forward to meeting the rest of the family. We hear its a big one! I am so happy for Omar!

Janine, Dan, Taylor, Angie, Arnold, Matthew and Jesse...thanks for meeting us in L.A. We had a great time getting to know you all! You guys are awesome!!!

Jane Lynch

OK, so I just love Jane Lynch! I just cant get enough of her. I am gonna go ahead and say...she is definitely my favorite lesbian of all time! LOL! It doesn't matter what she is acting in. I laugh my a** off every time I watch her!!! This is a picture of her from Party Down. Love her as Constance Carmell. Unfortunately she left the show....but for good reasons. To be on the show Glee! I cant wait for it to start. The pilot was super funny. I absolutely loved her in 40 Year Old Virgin. There are so many quotes of hers from movies that I would like to include but they are probably not the most appropriate for me to put in my blog! But I guess I can leave you with a quote from Role Models.

If you haven't seen Jane Lynch act...go rent one of her movies. If you don't find her funny...there is probably something wrong with you. I'm just saying.

The other day I was looking for Quino and couldn't find him. I walked by his room and couldn't see him in there. Of course I didn't think to check his closet! So I kept looking and when I finally found him, he was there sitting in his toy bucket! I asked him what he was doing and he said "just looking for a toy". Like he does this everyday! What a little nerd. I am glad he is my little nerd though!

Pinecrest

We went camping this past weekend up in Pinecrest. We left Thursday morning and came home Sunday morning. This was our annual camping trip with the Clements. Omar had to work so he met us up there on Friday afternoon. I was very happy when he got there! The kids loved the lake and I liked being able to just sit and relax. Quino and Isabella loved playing in the dirt and climbing on the rocks. They had a really good time with the other kids. Friday night us adults must have gotten a little rowdy around the campfire because the security guy had to pay us a friendly visit. Oops! I guess we were being a little loud. Apparently I am always loud though!!! LOL! We had a really good time! But I am glad we are back. I think I must have taken a hour long shower when we got home. I feel like I am still scrubbing the dirt away! I guess that's what happens when you go camping though!

Our weekend

I had to share this picture of Colby and Omar. I took it this weekend and I think its so cute. Colbers just loves his Uncle. Lexi, Sammy, Chloe and Colby spent the night Saturday. We had a good time! Colbs even got a haircut from Omar. Quino did too.

The only one missing this weekend was Isabella. She went on her first Girl Scout camping trip by herself! That was a really big deal. For her and for me!!! I kept checking my phone all night long! She had a great time though. She always does at Girl Scouts.

On Sunday Rachel and John watched our kids so me and Omar could go out. We went to see the movie Hangover and went out to dinner with Nicole and Gil. That movie was so funny! I even heard Nicole laugh!! That says a lot! Ha ha! Just kidding, Nicole! I want to go see it again. And again. And again....well you get the picture! I love Bradley Cooper!

Cant wait til it comes out on Blu-ray.

Finally bloggin again

I turned 30 a couple weeks ago! I had a good birthday. We had some friends over for a BBQ. Carne asada and chocolate cake! Who could ask for more! Yummy! Omar bought me a new zoom lens for my camera. I love it.

We have finally hired someone to keep our front and backyard looking good. We never really mastered that one! So its finally clean and the kids are loving playing in the backyard! They love the sprinklers. I took this picture the other day. Quino and Isabella were having such a good time. Thanks to my new lens I didn't even have to leave the house to take them! Love it!!

Yesterday I checked my mail and I had a package from my friend Holly. She sent me pictures of my kids that she had taken. They are AWESOME! I love them. She also sent me a pic of my family. It's great! Here are some of the pics she took. She is a wonderful photographer. The only problem for me is that she lives in Utah! What a total bummer. I wish she could take my kids pictures all the time! Thanks again, Holly! I love them.

Easter

This year the Easter Bunny brought Quino Luigi Toy from Super Mario Brothers and Isabella got a unicorn. They both got a lot of candy too! That Easter Bunny sure is nice! My friend Laurie invited me and Rachel's families over for an egg hunt. Her son Connor is Isabella's age. They have been best buds for a few years now. All the kids love Connor. They were very excited to get to go to his house. It's always a treat to go to Connors! They loved doing the egg hunt! There were so many eggs! They had a blast. We hung out for awhile with Laurie, Connor and Kevin, then headed home for dinner with the Veuve's. It was a nice day. Very relaxing....just like I like it.

Vegas Baby!

Last week Omar and I went to Las Vegas. Nicole and Gil went too. ( we just cant seem to get rid of them!! LOL ) We stayed at Excalibur. Wasn't a great hotel room but at least we got one of the newly remodeled rooms. Basically it was the cheapest hotel on the strip that had good enough reviews to stay at!

The first night we were totally crazy and decided to walk to the Palazzo to eat at Dos Caminos. Well, it was a really long walk!! I had major blisters just by the time we got there. Crazy! The food was great though so I guess it was worth it. After dinner we decided to walk...I don't know what we were thinking!!...We ended up finding a piano bar. I had a great time. The guys playing the pianos were pretty funny! We got smart and took a cab back to the hotel. The cab driver was pretty freaky. Poor Nicole sat up in the front by him too! Scary!!!

The second night we saw Blue Man Group. I loved it. I cant really remember what we did the rest of that night. I think we hung out at the New York New York hotel. Must not have been that exciting!

The third day Gil and Nicole were in a bowling tournament. So we picked up Jason and Julie ( Gil and Nicole's friends ) and went to watch them bowl. OK...nothing against bowling but it was pretty boring. I kept picturing the movie Kingpin in my head...and it was nothing like it! I think Gil and Nicole were pretty bored themselves and they were bowling! After that all of us plus Jeff and Howard went down to Fremont Street for some food and some gambling. Well, we thought they would have food. Nothing was open! Apparently it was too late at night. I thought this was Vegas! Shouldn't everything be open like 24 hours? I think so. So we ended up driving and found a Denny's. It was seriously like being in the twilight zone!! It took like over an hour to get our food and there was like 3 other people eating there! Very scary!! Very weird!! It definitely made some interesting conversation though! I don't think I have laughed that hard in along time!

The fourth night Gil and Nicole had to bowl again. Poor them! We decided to go see KÀ Cirque du Soleil with Jason and Julie. Me and Omar were kinda disappointed with it. On the other hand Jason and Julie thought it was great. I think we are just too picky. We liked it...just didn't love it! We met up with the "bowlers" and went to Diablo's Cantina. Really fun place besides the fact that some dude grabbed my boob while walking back from the bathroom( the bathroom that some other dude was doing something "questionable" in...if you know what I mean....GROSS! ) Nice huh! I guess he got a cheap thrill from that! I know he got a high five from his friends. Loser!
We ended up going to Studio 54 and dancing til 4 in the morning! I didn't even think I was capable of staying up that late anymore! It was fun. Very good people watching there! There are some crazy people in Vegas!

We did a little gambling while we were there. Omar likes Russian Roulette and I prefer to stick to the slots. Not that I have any luck with that. I am just not a lucky person! Oh well!

We had a great time! We are still trying to recover from the lack of sleep. I think we are getting old! Thanks Rachel, for watching my kids all week. You too Lexi. You guys are awesome!!! :)

My week so far

Well, the kids are back in school. Finally! They sure are having a hard time waking up in the morning. I don't know where they get that from. :) Luckily once they actually get to school, they are happy! OK, enough about school. Onto all the great books I am reading! So I finished New Moon. I loved it. It was great! I love Bella and Jacobs friendship but I am definitely still on Team Edward! Although my favorite character is Carlisle. I just cant get enough of this Twilight saga. That Stephenie Meyer is good! I started reading Shopaholic but then I found Stephanie Meyers partial draft of Midnight Sun on her website. So of course I had to start reading that. I have to know how Edward feels about everything! (Can you tell I really like these books?) Anyway, I better get back to my reading!
